Decades of professional work on the study, protection and presentation of works of national art have resulted in extensive documentary material, not only on objects from the collection of the Gallery of Matica Srpska, but also on many other works of art that had been studied, preserved and exhibited in numerous cooperation projects with other museums, churches and private owners.<\/p>\n<p>The archive materials are organized in several segments: inventory cards, photo library, documentation on exhibition activity, conservation documentation and professional archive. A special part of the Gallery&#8217;s archive consists of photo documentation (negatives and positives on various media and digital photographs), as well as of printed visual material on exhibitions organized in the Gallery of Matica Srpska from 1927 until today.<\/p>\n<div class=\"is-divider divider clearfix\" style=\"max-width:100%;height:1px;background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.1);\"><\/div>\n\n<span class=\"scroll-to\" data-label=\"Scroll to: #bazapodataka\" data-bullet=\"false\" data-link=\"#bazapodataka\" data-title=\"bazapodataka\"><a name=\"bazapodataka\"><\/a><\/span>\n\n<p class=\"title21\"><strong>Database<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Gallery of Matica Srpska began the process of digitization and the formation of the collection database in 2010, when over 9,500 inventory cards of artworks were transferred to digital format. Since then, the electronic database had been supplemented with new data by processing individual collections, as well as digital cataloging of acquisitions. During the past years, the adaptation of the building, the modernization of the exhibition space and the professional training of the employees enabled more active inter-museum cooperation at national and international level. Thus, the Gallery presents works from the National Gallery of Umbria, the East Slovak Museum in Ko\u0161ice, the collection of the British Council, Jeu de Paume Gallery in Paris, as well as numerous
